Karker

Terms of Service

What Karker does, what you agree to, and where the airline takes over.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Karker account or using the Karker app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Karker.

2. Eligibility

You may use Karker if all of the following are true:

  • You are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live).
  • You are legally able to enter into a binding contract and to purchase travel under applicable law.
  • You are not located in, or a national of, a country subject to U.S. or EU sanctions, and you are not on any government denied-party list.

3. The Karker service

Karker is a search-and-booking tool for flights. We help you find fares, save your travelers and payment methods, and pass your booking request to airlines through our booking partner. Karker is not an airline. We do not operate flights, we do not issue tickets, and we are not a party to your contract of carriage with the airline.

The airline you book with is the principal in the transaction. Karker acts as your agent in placing the booking and as a messenger for any communications between you and the airline.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us at hello@karker.ai immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Use Karker only for genuine travel — automated scraping, fare-checking bots, speculative bookings, and resale-as-a-service usage are prohibited.
  • Comply with the airlines' own terms when booking, including fare rules, baggage limits, and travel-document requirements.
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise interfere with Karker's systems.

5. Bookings and payment

When you confirm a booking in Karker, you authorize Karker (through Stripe) to charge the saved payment method for the total trip cost shown on the confirmation screen. Bookings are final the moment the airline accepts them, subject to the airline's own cancellation rules.

Total trip cost includes the airline fare, taxes, and any add-ons you selected (seat selection, baggage, meals). It does not include changes you make to the booking after confirmation, which are governed by the airline's change-fee schedule.

Currency, exchange rates, and any payment-card foreign-transaction fees are handled by your card issuer and Stripe, not by Karker.

6. Cancellations, changes, and refunds

Refundability is determined by the airline's fare rules. Some fares are fully refundable, some are partially refundable, and many are non-refundable. Karker shows the cancellation policy on the booking confirmation screen before you pay.

To cancel or change a booking, contact us at hello@karker.ai. We forward the request to the airline and pass back any refund the airline issues. Karker does not retain the airline fare, which means we cannot refund what the airline does not return to us.

If a flight is cancelled by the airline (schedule change, operational disruption, force majeure), the airline owns the resolution: rebooking, refund, or compensation under applicable consumer-protection law (e.g. EU 261/2004). We will help you contact them and, where useful, file the request on your behalf.

7. Service fees

Karker may charge a service fee in addition to the airline fare. When charged, the fee is shown clearly on the booking confirmation screen before you pay. We do not bury fees inside the fare display, and we do not introduce fees during checkout.

8. Travel documents and entry requirements

You are responsible for ensuring you have the correct travel documents (passport, visa, health certificates, vaccination records) for every leg of your trip. Karker may surface general requirements as a convenience, but the legal responsibility is yours and the airline may deny boarding if requirements are not met.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use Karker to:

  • Make speculative, fraudulent, or false bookings, or bookings in someone else's name without their authorization.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Karker's systems, or breach any security measures.
  • Resell Karker's search results, screenshots, or fare data.
  • Use any automated system (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) to access Karker without our prior written permission.
  • Engage in any activity that violates applicable law, sanctions regimes, or third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without notice when necessary to protect other users or our service.

10. Intellectual property

The Karker name, logo, app, website, and all related content (excluding airline content surfaced through the service) belong to Karker and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Your account gives you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for booking your own travel — nothing more.

11. Disclaimers

Karker is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that fare data is always perfectly current — fares change in real time and the displayed price is only confirmed when the airline issues the ticket.

We do not warrant the quality, safety, on-time performance, or behavior of any airline you book through Karker. The airline alone is responsible for the operation of your flight.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Karker's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service is capped at the greater of (a) the total service fees Karker received from you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) EUR 100.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, lost profits, or lost data, even if we were advised of the possibility. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer-protection law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Karker harmless from any third-party claim arising from your use of the service in violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your violation of someone else's rights.

14. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings > Account, or by emailing hello@karker.ai. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing the service would expose Karker or other users to material risk.

Bookings that have already been confirmed remain valid even after account closure — the airline relationship is yours.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes are announced in the app and via email; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of the European Union member state where Karker is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. EU consumers retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.

Disputes must first be addressed in good faith through hello@karker.ai. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 60 days, either side may take it to the competent courts of Karker's place of establishment, subject to mandatory consumer-jurisdiction rules.

The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
